Chesterfield County Public Schools
Growth Task Force
As part of the School Division’s efforts
to provide quality education to Chesterfield County’s children, the School Board
has created a task force of school officials,
county leaders and community residents
to begin studying school enrollment trends and their impact on Chesterfield County
Public Schools’ facilities, planning and budget. The group will meet through
October and is scheduled to make recommendations to the School Board in
November.

Charge of
the Task Force:
To review existing information concerning:
- Assumptions that form the basis of functional capacity and the efficient
use
of current school facilities;
- Student enrollment
trends and county demographics;
- Best practices
for school construction, design, maintenance, and financing.
To develop
a report with targeted recommendations for the School Board’s consideration relative
to the capital improvements budget process, comprehensive facility planning and
further study needs.
